Comments: Susan,
Your beginning glass bead making workshop was fantastic! I had no experience what so ever in flame working, so approached my first day with some apprehension. Your up-beat, friendly and straight forward approach to teaching made me quickly relax and learn with confidence. I was amazed at how much information and technique I left with. I'm so excited to approach my new passion of bead making with a solid working knowledge of safety, technique, studio set up, and equipment information. Great workshop!

Susan, I can’t thank you enough for the superb Glass Beadmaking Workshop I took from you. You did an outstanding job in covering a wide range of topics important to anyone wanting to make glass beads as a hobby or professionally. I was amazed at your knowledge on topics such as setting up a studio, torches and concentrators, safety considerations, kilns and annealing, and glass. Even more important for me is that you were able to convey this information in a manner that made it easy and fun to learn. You also did an outstanding job in teaching the techniques for making the beads. I came to this class with experience making beads but walked away far more knowledgeable about all aspects of bead making. You helped me correct problems I was having and taught me some new techniques that have been very helpful. Even though you call this “beginning beadmaking,” advanced students can also benefit from it.
A great class in a relaxing atmosphere learning from a teacher full of knowledge. What a wonderful experience! Great for beginners but also a good opportunity for advanced students as well.
